Many folks have seen commercials on TV lately, promising to cure various conditions, including ads for drug treatment facilities. The advertisements seem very convincing, right? They look like perfect places to kick the habit of drug abuse for good.
But what is the real story here? What is the truth?
The truth of the matter is, that there are no treatments in this world that work on 100% of the people, 100% of the time. Also, there are no treatments which have zero side-effects. None. So, if anyone tries to tell you, that any treatment would lead anybody to NEVER abuse drugs again; is of course, utter nonsense. If you are ever faced with having to make a decision about substance abuse with such a guarantee; RUN!
Unfortunately, it is a sad fact, that there are unscrupulous people in the world, (they are really evil) and now, some of them are trying to profit from people’s drug addictions. The ads on TV are merely trying to sell you a product. If you run a treatment facility, you can pay for “leads” to get more patients, to make more of a profit. I have checked some of these outfits out. They do not check on the background of the doctor or treatment facility. They sell leads, exactly like a business does, with no consideration what so ever for your health and wellbeing.
So, there is no such treatment, which causes someone to never or always do something or be a certain way. Please do not fall for the con artists out there.
